Kiff Scholl

Kiff Scholl

The Twist, a choreographed piece by Able ARTS Work, inspired this digital art, called The Great Leap, by Kiff Scholl. Kiff, a Los Angeles artist, writer and performer, was one of the first artistic contributors to NSH ever--see his earlier piece in The Thread With Two Earths In It. For this piece, Kiff gamely accepted my weird assignment: create art inspired only by the choreography of The Twist, not the music to which it was choreographed.

Able ARTS Work

Able ARTS Work

Melinda Gibson's song Runaway inspired this dance, called The Twist, by three associates of Able ARTS Work in Southern California. It's the first dance ever created for Now See Hear! Click here to see the video. The dancers are Allison Salo, Brian Corder and Havannah Ulrich. The primary mission of Able ARTS Work is to provide lifelong learning, community service and vocational opportunities through the creative arts for people of all abilities and all ages in an environment of warmth, encouragement and inclusion. This jubilant piece of choreography prompted Kiff Scholl to create digital art.
